You know every now and then you get an email from a poor woman in Africa who's father has suffered some ill-fate, but not before he stored millions and millions of dollars in a safety deposit box that only your bank account can save?

Well, I got another strange one the other day which bypassed my spam folder straight to my inbox. Thinking this is just a copy and paste email I decided to reply:

Now I have a three or four page email of their life story, where they are from in Russia, their job, and all sorts.

Whats the deal? They haven't asked for money yet. Some people have way too much time on their hands.

Whoa. Sad part of reality is that it could be real. Horrible to think there are people out there willing to do such a thing to get out of their country. Realistically it would all come down to money though!

Isn't this just that old scam where they chat to you for a while, send pics, then pretend they don't have the money to leave their country and need your help?

This has to be either, A) A scam, B)from a mail order bride company.

Not sure which is more likely.

I know the whole mail order bride thing was largely broken up a little while ago by the international community so it's all done different these days, they're perusing it from different angles. I know this, because I had a co-worker with a mail order bride.

I'm a bit curious to see how this pans out.
