Have an upgrade on a core transport backbone Thursday night from 2.5G to a new 10G DWDM setup. After that modifying all the BGP routing to use Local Preference. Here's to hoping it goes smooth, luckily I'm pretty well prepared. Friday night moving the last few things the GF didn't have ready. Saturday will be spent sleeping, relaxing, and enjoying my hard earned lazy day. Sunday homework and Father's day brunch. Then the CCIE Security Written Beta on Monday morning. I'm gonna get my ass handed to me but what the hell.

I've got a brand new BBQ. Pictures to follow once I put it together this weekend.

Chilling out with Alyssa tonight watching the footy then breakfast and coffee tomorrow. Other than that I don't have anything planned.

Study and... finding homes for things still in boxes I guess.

you need some motivational factor i.e. beer,

what kind of BBQ did you get, charcoal or gas?
depending on what type you may have to season it before use.

Just spent the past 4 hours catching up on my Hours, Billing, and Items to Bill. I've been alone at work for the past 3 weeks. Tired.. I can't wait for the weekend.

I unexpectedly received 34 free Netgear WG103's in the mail today from a vendor.. No idea what the hell I'm going to do with these things, we're a purely Cisco Wireless shop..

Happy fathers day weekend peeps...

Halfway through a not bad weekend. My step-daughter is with her Dad, so I'm chilling with my wife & other daughter. They got me a nice bottle of scotch for Father's day, so I'm sipping on that, watching some good ol' movies, BBQing some meats & studying ONS tech for an ongoing project replacing an existing MRV DF ring with ONS gear.

Man that trip went quick!

Thursday was low key, we got checked in and then ate at Mesa Grill (Bobby Flay's restaurant) in Caesars. Stayed up playing craps until 4am until the wife pulled me off the table to go to bed. Friday we went to Gold and Silver Pawn Shop (Pawn Stars on History channel) and looked around. It was pretty cool and a lot of interesting stuff but really its just a pawn shop! Friday night we ate at Gordon Rameys Steaks in Paris and the food was f'n awesome! I couldn't pass on the Kobe beef fillet and my wife got the bone-in rib-eye. I have never eaten a better steak. Saturday we went to New York New York and City Center and checked out the art galleries. Stayed up until 2am Saturday at the craps tables. I was hanging so hard on the trip home yesterday.

We didnt come home with any money but the trip was a blast. Here is a pics my wife took of our steaks.
