How do you assign an ip on the interface. Trying to tftp to upgrade. i see it on the sh run but not on the sh int ip bri cmd. interface is up and up what am i missing?

You need to assign names to interfaces. Then you can assign security levels. Once you've done that, start adding IP addresses.

hmmm... tried that before but didnt work rebooted and retried and it worked. Hey i'll take it thanks!
