Certs: CCNA, 1/3 CCNP (ROUTE)
I have my CCNA already, sat on it a little too long, recertified it a few years ago, and currently studying for the ROUTE exam. After passing it, I am torn on whether to pursue the CCNP, or go after the CCIP. I am just trying to get various peoples opinion here. My job, the CCIP would have more relevance to what I do, but I am a big believer in building from the ground up, and think that the CCNP would provide a better foundation on which to build my career. My job is not going to pay anything extra for me to have either one. I actually have the same job that I had before I had my CCNA, so that isnt going to play a big part on my decision. Thanks in advance for any and all opinions.

If you already work closley with QoS and BGP (or work for a service provider) then i suggest knocking the CCIP out first. Then follow back on the CCNP. If you work closly with R&S in general then go CCNP, then follow up with the CCIP.

Honestly you have SWITCH, TSHOOT, QOS, BGP and MPLS test to take after ROUTE. So you could also start with the ones you are more familar with, bang them out and move to the rest. Having both always looks better.

Actually, this is invalid question or decision for me now. I just saw the CCIP is being retired at the end of July.
