Hi networkers,
We get a lot of devices that appear frequently in the Questioned state. Is there a way to troubleshoot them or th get additional info?

Can you be more specific as to which module(i.e CM, DFM, RME, etc.) you are seeing theses devices in questioned state.

Check that the SNMP community strings match between the device and Ciscoworks. Also check that the telnet or SSH user credentials match between device and what is configured in Ciscoworks.

Yes the credentials are correct, especially because the same device has been in "known" state before. The issue is that, the same device is known one time, and then in "questioned" state another time.

restart the services for ciscoworks/reboot the box. it has been known to cure our problems before. if that don't call tac.

Actually the issue is more complex than a mere restart of services :) and we don't have a valid Cisco contract. So I'm learning it the hard way :D
