What's going on?

We're playing a site-wide game of CISCO (BINGO) for prizes provided by several sponsors. The game starts on 2/6/2012 and ends when all the prizes are claimed.

What's BINGO?

Welcome, you must be foreign or under 70. Check out the BINGO WikiPedia page to see all the details but here is a excerpt from the site for brevity:

Quote:
A typical Bingo game utilizes the numbers 1 through 75. The five columns of the card are labeled 'B', 'I', 'N', 'G', and 'O' from left to right. The center space is usually marked "Free" or "Free Space", and is considered automatically filled. The range of printed numbers that can appear on the card is normally restricted by column, with the 'B' column only containing numbers between 1 and 15 inclusive, the 'I' column containing only 16 through 30, 'N' containing 31 through 45, 'G' containing 46 through 60, and 'O' containing 61 through 75.

We are only recognizing straight horizontal, vertical and corner-to-corner lines as winners. No postage stamps, four corners, or other variations.

How do I play?

Each registered forum member has a unique user id, that number is used as the random number generator seed to generate that user's unique (probably) CISCO card. Watch the "Numbers" section of this post every morning (US Central time zone) for the new number to be announced. Post up "CISCO!" when you get 5 numbers (or 4 plus the free spot) in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. It's that easy.

To find your forum user id, look at the URL when viewing your profile. It will read something like "http://www.networking-forum.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2" where 2 is the user id.

Take that user id and plug it into this URL to see your game board, "http://www.networking-forum.com/bingo.php?uid=2" obviously replacing 2 with your user id.

  • First come, first serve. If you get a BINGO from the number announced on day 8, yet you don't post up that you won until day 88 and all prizes are gone then you are out of luck.
  • One prize per player.
  • Players can not hold this site (Amoeba Solutions LLC) or the game's sponsors accountable. We're just trying to have fun and give some stuff away so if you don't win, join us in the next contest.
  • The game details, rules and prizes can change at any time.

The spot where I assume S41 would have been is the free square :(

I am using the back of the printed out square though to do subnetting by hand, so something good is coming of this even if I do not win something

There's a contest on? You should start a thread about that.

Oooohhh I didn't realise this was a creative thinking outside the box Bingo, I was playing normally

In which case BINGO x 2

1 for printing out the sheet
1 for the first number
1 for the second number

I shall now proceed to use overly complicated maths to prove that the world is in fact square and just by opening this thread we are all winners ;)

<image></image>

**Edit**
It appears the math is too complicated that even uploading it as an image caused it to implode on the internet
