I've had limited time to actually read it, but as it happens I have it open right now on my desk since I'm armpit deep in sniffer traces at work...

What I've read it very good. Laura does a good job of breaking everything down and there are tons of examples that visually show what is being talked about. There's also a ton of material covered in it.

Nice, I've got to get my hands on it eventually. CCNP first though. Then TCP/IP Illustrated Vol 1. I wish they made a hard cover for it.

My copy of TCP/IP Illustrated vol 1 is a hard copy. Course I've had it for ~15 years and stole it from my brother.

I just bought my hard copy in December but haven't had a chance to read it yet :P 15 years old :O That's when you know a book is good, people still buying it that long after it was published and it's still relevant.

:O They sell them with hard covers now? I might order it this weekend if that's case. I wonder if they have a 2nd edition planned this year. Wouldn't want to buy the old edition just so they release a new one in April

We talking about the same book? Says paperback on Amazon. I'm talking about the new book she just wrote and published last year.

This could be the source of the confusion.

I'm a terrible communicator, but I believe in my signature..."There is no greater impediment to the advancement of knowledge than the ambiguity of words."

We won't get it until it's published in early April.

1268 words in the queue pending your approval :) I know you said 500-100 so hopefully that's OK. If not let me know and I'll trim the fat.

Thanks Steve (and Ciscopress too I'm assuming). Good read.
