Hello all,

I'm just wondering some stupid things.

If i am a IPv4 host machine ( for example pc with windows 7 ) and I want to access some IPv6-only site on the internet, but my ISP does not support IPv6 - how is going to happen ? Is there some kind of tunneling, that can help me, for example - isatap, teredo ?

Currently, I'm reading for both of them ( isatap, teredo ) and i'm trying to figure if they are going to help me, and if yes - how :D

If somebody can help with some info - thanks in advance !

Kind regards.

Use a 6to4 tunnel broker like Hurricane Electric and you can run native IPv6 on the host side, then use your router+tunnel broker to transport the IPv6 packets inside IPv4 to the broker who will strip off the IPv4 header and route the packets natively over IPv6 (and back again).

You can set this up with a basic Cisco 1841 and there are plenty of tutorials out there. This is probably the most practical way to do it if your ISP does not support dual stack natively.
