Hi

I have been having a problem with my 4400n dropping connection when streaming video / audio.
It is connected half duplex to a cat2950 and the media server is mediatomb on a linux box the client is a ps3 presently.
The whole thing is becoming quite a pain as it is sometimes impossible to watch or listen to anything without constant drop outs.
Any help would be greatly received.

Hi

Have noticed that although everything is set to 100 duplex the eth0 interface on the ap is showing a 10mb connection.
How would i rectify this anybody?

Check if everything is set to autonegotiation, or fixed 10 or 100. One of both sides is probably fixed now.
That may very well be the reason connections are dropping.

I strongly suspect you are correct,
I am basing my information on Solar Winds Bandwidth monitor that shows all four interfaces on the ap as being 10mB,
i have checked a wap200 that i have as well and that also shows as being 10mB not sure if that is what it should be but i can't imagine so.
I'm wondering if there is a specific configuration for the switchport on the 2950 catalyst I'm using?
