Guys I'm playing around with vlans on my home network I'm using a Dell Powerconnect 2816 switch and a Linksys WRT54GL I'm basically running a trunk or router on a stick. I have created 3 vlans 192.168.1.0, 192.168.2.0, and 192.168.3.0. The 192.168.3.0 subnet is my wan vlan I actually have one of the lan ports coming off of the Linksys E2000 connected to the Powerconnect 2816. If I telnet into the WRT54GL I can ping any website that I want if I plug a laptop into one of the wan vlan ports than try to ping that laptop from another vlan the ping will be successful. However if I try to ping my internet router let's say from vlan 192.168.2.0 it is a no go but if I put a laptop at 192.168.2.10 I have no problem hitting it. BTW the router connected into the 2816 is untagged if that matters any.
