hello everyone,

at my home i have got a router and an tenda a30 extender
my routers ip is 10.0.0.138
the extender is 192.168.0.254

when i connect through the extender i get a 10.0.0.x ip and cannot enter the extender but only with an ethernet cable after re config my ip

could someone tell me how is it possible that a 192.168.0.x is communicating with a 10.0.0.x??

The two devices are on the same LAN. I assume you have the extender plugged into a LAN port on your router.

It is possible the 192.168.0.254 is for management purposes and is the default IP that comes with it. The device handling the issuing of IPs to the devices you connect with will be the router on the 10.x.x.x network via DHCP.

Depending on what your trying to acomplish you can configure a secondary ip on the router or pc and reach the extender that way.
