I have a few old routers which I have configured for use as 4 port switches and wireless access points, I would now like to change my network config to include two subnets, unaware of each other, yet able to get Internet connectivity from the main ADSL router. I will list my equipment below and would appreciate some examples of how I should set this up. I have quite a strong idea of what I want to do, however I do not have the knowledge to pull it off so any help is greatly appreciated.

ADSL router: BT Homehub 2 - 192.168.1.254
Switch 1: Speedtouch 585 - 192.168.1.252
Switch 2: BT Voyager 2100 - 192.168.1.251

I would like to have the BT HH as the gateway, then attach all 192.168.1 clients to the Voyager, and all 192.168.5 clients to the ST585. I can get telnet CLI access to both switches and although I am unsure about the voyager, the ST does support VLANs.

I also wish to use the BT HH as a wireless AP for the 192.168.1 subnet.

I am now thinking that using 3 separate subnets, with the HH on one, then using static routes on the switches to this subnet are the way forward, let me know of this is a decent configuration.

Thanks in advance!
