Does Cisco ASR 1000 support SPAN from local port to local port? if yes, please help to provide configuration guide.

SPAN is usually a switch thing. I'd be surprised if a router did support it.

ERSPAN is possible and there are a few doc talking about it. But I am looking for SPAN. I see the command is available on the router as below:

Code:
ASBR(config)#monitor session 1 type ?
  erspan-destination  Encapsulated RSPAN Destination Session
  erspan-source       Encapsulated RSPAN Source Session
  local               Local SPAN Session
local-tx            Local SPAN Session TX only
  rspan-destination   RSPAN Destination Session
  rspan-source        RSPAN Source Session

It looks like all can be config but I don't see traffic passing from G0/0/0(source) to G0/0/4(destination) :(

I don't think SPAN is supported on the asr1k. You can do ERSPAN locally by using a loopback as the sender and receiver. I configured erspan like this before and it works.

"The monitor session span-session-number type local command is not supported on Cisco ASR 1000 Series Routers."
