CCEI Security: Just putting my foot in the water

Tue Apr 24, 2012 6:34 am

About a year and a half ago i finished my 10th Cisco cert and started looking at the CCIE in security. Ipexpert had a really cool looking study guide and labs, so i bought them. Really great stuff.

Anyway, in reading through the labs and guides there are a lot of things tested on the CCIES that I did not expect to be on there.

PBR
QOS
OSPF
BGP
Layer two switching

you need sort of in-between knowledge in most of the above to pass from working through the labs. In-between being in-between CCNA and CCNP level.

There seems to be a reason there are only about 2000 of these world wide.
