What's the difference between the 'match dscp' and 'match ip dscp' commands when configured on a class-map?

Does the ladder apply strictly to IP traffic whereas the former apply to any traffic? Currently I'm using 'match dscp' and it's matching just fine.

Thanks

match dscp = IPv4 and IPv6
match ip dscp = IPv4

I've been using match dscp for ages now to match both current ipv4 and future ipv6 traffic

Ahh, makes sense now. My old QoS books shows 'match ip dscp,' but I suppose the book is from when IPv6 had no adoption.
