So I've been away (lurking a bit) for a while...
Things ramped up at work quite a bit, implementing & migrating to new infrastructure, rolling out new syslog configurations & standards, developing tools & scripts to automate inventory & configuration tasks, excessive documentation prepping for paternity leave. On the home front, dealing with a pregnant wife & 8yr old girl while prepping for baby, and then the arrival of our baby girl, born last week. On top of it all, I caught bronchitis at the hospital which gave me a nasty, nearly debilitating cough since we got home. Finally got in to see a doc & starting on the mend.
So, in a word, chaos.
Finishing up paternity leave now and plotting a re-immersion into the networking world. Thinking about taking a break from certs & focusing on developing custom tools and learning topics for my own sake & interest. Not sure how time will permit, but exploring starting a network scripting blog as well.
I've got Wireshark Network Analysis, Building Multiservice Transport Networks & IPv6 for Enterprise networks waiting for me at the office. Going to enjoy getting back to reading, labbing and coding.
Hope y'all are well & thriving doing what you love
