Morning all,

Thought this may be of interest to some of you.... I work for an ISP in Sheffield, UK and we're looking for someone to join our Network Development team (currently consists of me and one other). You'll need to be very proficient in many aspects of Ethernet networking as well as Linux (specifically CentOS) and the job involves designing, building and improving both our own network(s) and those for our clients. It's a massively varied job and never a dull moment :)

If you think you've got the skills and are interested in discussing then drop me a PM and we'll take it from there. Bear in mind this is a very technical job and as such if you're not at the right level please don't chance it as you'll be wasting both our time.

Zen Internet?

I'm good at making tea, in fact I think I am perfect for the job. How do I submit my CV to you? Aside from making tea I'm really good at spinning on my chair.

When do I start?

Haha, we've just moved office and have nice new chairs that spin really fast so you'd probably find yourself at home :)

It's not Zen, we're based in Sheffield and primarily aren't a xDSL ISP.

Dammit 3 hour drive, otherwise I could have offered my classic sense of sarcasm and dry wit along with the ability to make the perfect weak tea (apparently, I wouldn't know don't drink the stuff lol)

Hope yuo get some good replies though

My tea making skills are immense. I have more experience making tea than I do network engineering.

I have a curriosity. I'm assuming you're all english. Why don't you move ? I mean really , you haven't even asked how does the job pay. I would apply for a job like this if I wouldn't suck just for the way he described it and the opportunity to work in such an enviroment (also because I like to hear people talking about emigrants stealing their jobs :p ). Really though , is moving a big thing in England ?

I wasn't trying to offend anybody it;s just that I have friends in the US and in Canada and they are moving all the time. Well , in Canada they are rotating between 3 cities or so :)

I wouldn't mind moving to most places if I needed to. I don't currently need a new job and I'm very happy where I am at the moment. I also need to think about my wife as she works as well.

And regardless of potential salary, I still wouldn't move :) I've been offered more than I make right now to move to other places in London but I've turned them all down. I've a bunch of large projects I'm dealing with at the moment and would like to see them though.

Nice offer though. If I did not enjoy my current place I would certainly ask for more informaiton

We all love happy endings. Except those happy endings where they aren't actually happy endings; but instead could expose you to a few diseases.

Me again, we're looking for another Network/Systems Admin (no, we've not scared the other one off yet, he's still here!). If anyone is interested or you can recommend anyone let me know :)
