Nice!! Have you stayed at Ceasars before? We're going to the Hard Rock, cos the girl I'm going with hasn't been and I thought it was great when I went the last times.

(I'm sorry liver)

She's booked us into a hotel called "Mr C Hotels"
Has anyone heard of them? They're in Beverly Hills.

Was in Vegas last year for VMworld and let me tell you, 6 days is way too long to be in Vegas.

Have fun and I hope you have better luck than I did! :D

Never stayed at Caesars before. My father-in-law has a timeshare between the Belagio and City Center and we have always just stayed there. Saves tons of money as we usually go for no less than 5 days

My wife and I love long stays in vegas. Were not hard into clubing or partying so that might help. We enjoy have down time and just relaxing through-out the trip. Most of the time we stay for a week or so but not this time.

Chilling out in Vegas is good too. We're going for five nights this time but have stayed longer. It's not really fun when you can only chill out because your body can't cope, but you still want to go out, though.

It might be easier when you aren't staying in a hotel/casino. Getting off the elevator and stepping on the casino floor was dangerous. I was hitting the roulette table before classes and at lunch. I was busy most of the day and still had too much time to play cards and shit.

there is so much to do around Vegas, you could spend a whole week there without ever stepping into a casino

some interesting possibilities include:
Hoover Dam
Red Rock Canyon NCA
Pinball Hall of Fame
Freemont Street
Imperial Palace auto collection
Gold and Silver Pawn Shop (One from TV show Pawn Stars)
etc....

That is true.

Ive also always wondered about going to tech conferences in Vegas as it would be very hard for me to go to a session knowing I have a couple hundred in my pocket and craps tables just a few steps away calling me! yeah sure it might be top network engineers talking about bleeding edge stuff but come on... its gambling and drinking!!!!

I want to go back some time with the fiancee and do some site seeing and see the Hoover damn etc. Maybe stay at a hotel that doesn't have a casino right there or something. I stayed a the Palazzo and it was nice but damn if it wasn't too easy to gamble every day.

Has anyone been to Reno? I only know about it because of "Reno 911!".

Many a times. My Grandparents live about an hour west of it, in CA. It's like a 1980's version of Las Vegas, except not as good.

Haven't been yet, Aubrey. Looking on going in a week or so. If it's anything like British Casinos then it will be about 1% as good as Vegas lol

Not sure how I missed this. Anyone coming to Vegas feel free to drop me a message, and we can try to meet for drinks.
